On Thursday, January 23 2025, NIF hosted a webinar in light of the recent ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas. NIF VP for Public Engagement, Libby Lenkinski, moderated a discussion between Noa Landau, deputy editor-in-chief of Haaretz, Aaron David Miller, former member of the U.S. state department and current NIF board member, and Mickey Gitzin, NIF’s director in Israel. Together, they discussed the political implications of the U.S.-brokered deal, and what it may foreshadow for the incoming Trump administration’s policy in Israel and Gaza.
